India's political and public health leadership has led innovative schemes and translated the best of those into policy, and made substantial contributions for advancing population health. Since the launch of the National Rural Health Mission in 2005, over 157 thousands personnel have been employed to health sector. The Infant mortality rate (IMR) has declined from 68 to 42 per 1000 live births between 2000 and 2012. “There in activities that promote profitability as long

"There is no Ethics in Business, the Business of Business is Business" articulated by economist Milton Friedman in 1970. His argument was that the only social responsibility of business is to use its resources and engage in activities that promote profitability as long as it complies with the legal requirements. His statement was accepted by economist worldwide. However, this view of business responsibility has been challenged by stakeholders, NGO, and politician who put pressure on businesses to incorporate social and environmental issues as part of the business cost. It is presumed that the business is not working in silos as proclaimed by Grayson and Hodges, businesses are perceived as part of the solution to social and societal problems which they themselves are partly responsible for. I can relate this to my…

The pain, the pain of losing, and suffering

The four noble truth is the basic foundation of Buddha's teaching Buddhism. The first noble truth is the truth of suffering (Dukkha). There are three types of suffering; physical pain, the pain of losing, and suffering of illusion. All beings go through all sorts of sadness, anxiety, depression and many more. They are suffering. The second noble truth is craving (Tanha), it is the causes of the suffering. The third noble truth is the cessation of suffering (Nirvana), the ultimate concern for Buddhism. It allows people to eliminate desire and this is where people reach the state of Nirvana. The end of desire, and hence the end of suffering altogether. The fourth noble truth is the path out or the Middle Path or the Noble Eightfold Path. One reach this…

Hassan rate of photosynthesis within Elodea. Introduction and

Hassan Mithani 9/11/17 Teacher: Miss. Williams    Aims: The aim of the investigation was to find out how different light intensities affected the rate of photosynthesis within Elodea.  Introduction and Hypothesis:  Throughout our investigation we learned that light is the catalyst for the photosynthesis reaction. I believe that the rate of photosynthesis will increase according to the amount of light provided, until a certain point where the plant reaches its limit. Method We used several pieces of equipment. All we needed was a lamp, stopwatch, pondweed suspended in a water filled glass beaker and a meter stick. 1) Firstly, we placed our pondweed suspended in a water beaker, into a dark room on a raised platform for easy viewing. 2) After doing this, we placed our lamp over this at a distance of 20 centimeters. We used the stopwatch to time five minutes and switched the lamp on for a period of five minutes. Whilst this was happening, we counted the amount of bubbles that rose to the top due to photosynthesis.  3) After writing down our results on a table, we repeated this…

The that men and women are equals. Feminism

The first sociological approach I will be discussing is radical feminism. Feminism is the theory that men and women are equals. Feminism took a stand in the late 1960's and early 1970's. As I have stated before, women before the feminist movement were the home-keepers, they were and still are seen as the nurturing and caring individuals within the nuclear family, this made It hard for women to work because society expected them to be at the beck and call for there families, and many women don't have any objections to this idea however there are women out there that strived to work and have careers of their own, they wished for the same rights as men within all aspects of society as there are no differences between men and…

This movie as it differentiates light and dark, also shows the blurry lines which separates them, showing how a man can go from good to bad and how good and bad can cross their paths in crosshairs. Nolan also gives the audience something to think, giving joker the line "This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" showing that there is Light and there is darkness always and choosing what's right can be difficult most of the time but it's worth it. More twists and deep conversations are portrayed in the movie such as the completely two different explanations about how joker got his scars, and emphasizing on the fact that however he got the scars they are still scars and continuing on that pathway will…

Letter effort, freeing up valuable bandwidth for the

Letter of Recommendation I was Abhinay's direct manager from June 2014 till December 2015, as the Project Manager in A.T.Reddy & Co, Visakhapatnam and interacted with him daily. The IT team had four members in Visakhapatnam, with Abhinay supporting the material procurement process and his colleagues supporting the information technology part of the whole process. Abhinay was hired to help with reporting and analyzing performance metrics such as developing tools and parameters to track the material supply at various sites, but he has taken the initiative to proactively increase his responsibilities like generating alternative sources and methods of procurement and also now acts as the point of contact for some major projects that involve multiple teams. His inquisitiveness and enthusiasm to understand the nuances of his work…
